2021 Organizing Committee Election
In 2020, Chicago Local 134 incorporated and gained recognition from the IRS as a 501c7 group.
As part of this, we must hold a yearly election for our organizing committee.
There are three roles that we must elect each year:
Lead Organizer
The Lead Organizer is the principal executive officer of the club and responsible for conducting all meetings in an orderly and concise manner.
They have the responsibility to be the primary contact to Chicago Red Stars.
The Lead Organizer shall give final rulings when necessary and give the official Club report at the Annual meeting.
Communications Organizer
The Communications Organizer is responsible for the proper recording of all minutes at all meetings. They will be responsible for supplying a copy of each meeting’s minutes to all Committee members within five days of the meeting. The Communications Organizer will also provide meeting minutes to all members via the Slack workspace and/or email.
The Communications Organizer, in conjunction with the Financial Organizer, shall maintain an up-to-date list of all members in good standing.
The Communications Organizer is responsible for shaping and executing external communications for the group.
Financial Organizer
The Financial Organizer is responsible for properly maintaining all fiscal matters of the Club. They must maintain proper accounting records via computer or paper ledger. The Financial Organizer is responsible for creating and maintaining the Club’s budget.
The Financial Organizer will be responsible for collecting all membership dues.
The Financial Organizer, in conjunction with the Communications Organizer, shall maintain an up-to-date list of all
members in good standing.
All Organizing Committee positions are honorary and non-compensatory. At no time can any Organizing Committee position be vacant beyond the time necessary to hold an election. No member can hold two Organizing Committee positions at the same time.
